The mission of the Utah Academy of Pain Medicine is to improve access to and quality of pain care for the people of Utah through:

The UAPM is a medical specialty society representing physicians practicing in the field of pain medicine. It is the state chapter of the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) and an affiliate of the Utah Medical Association (UMA).

Our goal is to provide a resource for everyone interested in learning more about pain medicine. The needs are many: Patients seek relief. Medical professionals need credible and timely referral sources or clinical advice. Policymakers, regulators, the media and the public look for clarification of the many scientific and social issues related to pain medicine.

Better communication will lead to better outcomes for patients. That's our ultimate goal.
